Hamline Church has two community gardens on its property. The SPROUT Garden grows fresh food and vegetables for our neighborhood. The produce is donated to local elders through the Hamline Midway Elders, and to people in need through the Keystone Food Mobile. During the summer months, Hamline Kids spend their Sunday School time growing and tending the garden.
The Rain Garden is on the east side of our parking lot. This garden is especially designed with local, water-hungry plants to reduce pollution by filtering rain run off from the parking lot.
The Garden is fully organized by Hamline Church volunteer leadership, and hosts two Hamline University interns each summer.
Anyone is welcome to volunteer in our gardens. To get connected with the leadership, contact the Hamline Church staff at humc@hamlinechurch.org
