Blessing of the Backpacks
Children of all ages are invited to bring their school bags to worship on Sunday, September 11 for the Blessing of the Backpacks during the Children’s Moment. We’ll send kids off with a blessing and small charm to tie to their bags, along with prayers for a blessed new school year.

Looking for a free, safe place to let your little ones run, jump and play during the cold winter months? Make, Bake and Play Day & Cookie Exchange
Hamline UMW host the monthly Make, Bake, and Play day for kids to run around, parents to enjoy good company, and bake cookies! At 10:30 the whole neighborhood is invited for a cookie exchange, hosted by a community member. There will be toddler toys as well as games and crafts for older children. Kids Meet the Author
On June 17 after worship, kids will have the opportunity to meet a real live author – and discuss her book! Heather Bouwman will discuss ‘Crack in the Sea’ and answer kids’ questions about being a writer immediately after worship in the Activity Room downstairs. Looking for a chance to get away from your kids for a night? Need time for an early Valentines day date night? Hamline Youth will be offering a “Parents Night Out” as a fundraiser for their upcoming mission trip to New Orleans, LA. This is open to children K-5th grades. Suggested donation of $20 per kid. Young and old are invited to join the Hamline Church youth for a night of skiing at Welch Village. All abilities are welcome.
