Traditionally, the first Sunday of Advent is a Sunday of Bare Branches. Before we decorate the church with pine boughs and evergreens, we gather to remember the bareness of the earth in the winter.

Advent II – Communion & Ceremonial Hanging of the Greens
On the Second Sunday of Advent, we celebrate communion and a sanctuary decorated with beautiful evergreens in honor of the season. Traditionally, we ceremonially hang the greens during worship, lead by young people in our congregation. Also happening this Sunday: A class of new members will formally join the church Lay Reader Training after Worship Church Conference and Altar for All Vote at 11:30 Youth Group Service Project at 6:30
