Each year at Hamline Church, our children lead our worship on Advent III by telling the story of Christ's birth to Mary of Nazareth. Any and all children are invited to participate! Rehearsals take place during the Sunday school hour on Sundays November 13, 20, 27 and December 4. Children with speaking roles or who sign up to sing a solo/duet/trio will need to attend one additional rehearsal on Saturday, December 10 at 10:00 am. Youth may join the Youth…

Join us for the annual UMW Cookie Walk! Home-baked cookies are available for a minimum donation of $4 per dozen. Bread, other treats and Christmas items also for sale; Proceeds benefit Hamline Church Women/UMW.
Find out more »Make, Bake and Play Day & Cookie Exchange
Hamline UMW host the monthly Make, Bake, and Play day for kids to run around, parents to enjoy good company, and bake cookies! At 10:30 the whole neighborhood is invited for a cookie exchange, hosted by a community member. There will be toddler toys as well as games and crafts for older children. In this service of Lessons and Carols, song is the focus of our worship. The choir performs beautiful anthems, and we sing several hymns as a congregation, intermixed with the stories of Christ's arrival and birth. On December 18, after the Children’s Moment, children will gather in the Community Room to make and wrap Christmas gifts for friends and family members. Find out more »Christmas Worship – Communion & Candlelight Service
This intimate service is for those who enjoy the vigil of Christmas. The sanctuary will be lit with candlelight, and the service will feature the music of our four section leaders. We will read the story of the birth of the Christ Child, sing together, and celebrate communion. Communion at Hamline Church is always open to everyone. Gluten free wafers and a gluten free cup are available. Our cup is non-alcoholic.

Hanging of the Greens
Deck the church with glorious pine boughs, and help us ring in the season of anticipation with this joyful annual tradition. This year the annual Hanging of the Greens will be immediately after worship Sunday, December 2. Please stay after worship and help us deck the church for the Advent season in rich evergreen decor. Hamline Chancel Choir Presents: Saint-Saëns Christmas Oratorio
Join us for a 10 movement telling of the Christmas story as interpreted by French Composer, Camille Saint-Saëns. Written in 1858, the oratorio explores a number of musical styles – narrative recitatives, folk-like melodies, passionate solo operatic passages, and beautifully simple choral writing.
