The refugee ministry team thought it would be helpful to host a meeting to give an update on the family we cosponsored last year (Klu Paw and family), and gauge interest in doing future work this upcoming year. As you are probably aware, there are already many changes in U.S. refugee resettlement policy. All of the organizations that do resettlement work are trying to figure out what this will all mean in practice. We want to discuss what this means for us as a co-sponsoring congregation. Please come if you can. We were part of something very special last year. It would be great to continue that work in 2017.
