The next Music & Arts Series event, Chanting to the Divine: An Evening in the South Asian Devotional Tradition of Kirtan, will be at 7:00 pm Saturday, December 1. This event will take place at the Kay Fredericks Room on the 3rd floor of the Klas Center at Hamline University. Kirtan is the musical tradition of call and response devotional chanting from the Bhakti Yoga tradition in India. Join the Twin Cities-based band Kirtan Path in participatory interfaith singing, open to people from all backgrounds, cultures, and religions. A free-will offering will be collected at the door. Co-sponsored by the religion and music departments of Hamline University.
