Love Somalia with Feed My Starving Children at RiverCentre, is a relief collaborative of faith-based communities. They need 30,000 volunteers to help pack 6 million meals. Somalia is experiencing intense drought. Currently, around 6.2 million people in Somalia need assistance with food and water. This is more than half of the country’s entire population. Now is the time to act to prevent famine. Hamline Church will be sending groups. We have three times scheduled. Pick the one that works for you:

• Friday, June 2, 5:00 PM – 7:15 PM
• Saturday, June 3, 3:15 PM – 5:30 PM
• Sunday, June 4, 3:15 PM – 5:30 PM

To join our groups, go to lovesomalia.org. Click on “Become a Volunteer, Join Us June 2-5.” Then choose “Join a Group.” The group name is Hamline Church. That will bring up all three times for you to choose from. Can’t make these, but could make another time that weekend? Go to lovesomalia.org for all options. We will figure out transportation as people sign up. Note that MetroTransit is offering free rides to and from the event.
