We are excited to be partnering with Hamline Elementary for a Bread and Pizza Bake on Friday May 12 and Monday May 15.  Kids will be at church from 1:30 – 2:30 pm each day.  They will make bread-dough and pizza on Friday.  On Monday, they will return to shape and bake the loaves.  We could use the help of five or six adults to work with small groups of 5 or 6 students to measure, mix, shape and bake the loaves.  The children will give some of the bread to the Hamline Midway Elders as a ‘Thank You’ gift for the Elders’ work as Reading Buddies at Hamline Elementary. Please consider participating in this ‘neighboring’ ministry with the kids across the street.  Volunteers should plan on being at church from 1:00 – 2:45 pm.  (80% of Hamline Elementary children qualify for free or reduced lunch.  Learning to bake bread is a skill that can help feed their families high quality food for only a fraction of the cost of store-bought.)
